Positions are from the Yale Bright Star Catalogue, epoch J2000, projected gnomonically about each constellation’s centre. The lines joining the stars are the studio’s own drawing — those are a convention, not data. The plates on sale are generated from this same catalogue.

How the work is made
Everything here is drawn, typeset and tested in the studio. The constellation plates come out of a vector pipeline that reads the star catalogue directly; the binders were built because we needed them ourselves and could not find a version that was not either a scan of a 1990s form or forty pages of decorative filler.
No AI image generators are used in the artwork. That is worth saying plainly, because a lot of what is sold as constellation art now is generated, and the star positions in it are decorative rather than real.
