The evidence, before you buy

This is the same star data the printed plates are generated from. Select any star to see the catalogue entry behind it — if the positions were decorative, this panel could not exist.

How big is it, really

Every outline below is drawn to one scale, so the comparison between sizes is arithmetic rather than art direction.

Every print size is drawn to one scale below.

Questions people actually ask

Are the star positions real?

Yes. Every star is plotted from the Yale Bright Star Catalogue at epoch J2000, projected gnomonically about the constellation's centre. The lines joining the stars into a figure are the studio's own drawing — those are a convention that varies between sky atlases, not measured data.

What sizes can I print?

Anything up to 24×36 inches. The download includes four aspect ratios per sign — 2:3, 3:4, 4:5 and ISO/A — so the figure is composed correctly for each rather than cropped from one master file.

What do I actually receive?

A vector PDF for each ratio, plus 300 DPI PNGs. The PDF is the one to send to a print shop: it stays sharp at any size because the stars are drawn as vectors, not pixels.

Is anything posted to me?

No. This is a digital download. Nothing physical ships, and no frame is included.

Can I sell prints made from the file?

No. The licence covers personal use and gifts. Commercial reproduction, resale of the file, and print-on-demand listings are not permitted.
